Email Subscription Options for Threads and Replies
A user can click to receive email notifications or a daily digest from the Discussion Board Page listing out all the Threads. When the user turns on the Email Subscription option from the Discussion Board, the user will instantly receive a notification via email every time a new thread or reply is posted. If the user enables Daily Digest, the user will receive an email overnight with a list of new threads and new posts. The Dail Digest will list out all new threads and posts for all Discussion Boards that the user has access to in Communities.
A user can go into individual threads and Unsubscribe from the individual thread even if they have subscribed to all threads. If a user unsubscribes from an individual thread but is subscribed to all threads and posts, the user will still receive notifications for the other threads, but not the thread that the user unsubscribed from.
